Lives Restorations and Classic Autos in San Augustine,
Texas
was started in 1999 by Dr. W. H. Goodwin.
Dr. Goodwin has
been
a veteran car builder and drag racer since
the late fifties and sixties. He practiced Dentistry in San Augustine
for thirty-six years while collecting and restoring antique and
classic cars.
Now all of
his time is involved in the day to day operations of his '9 Lives'
restoration shop. Dr. Goodwin oversees and has hands
on every project vehicle that comes through the 9 Lives shop.
In the last
two years, '9' Lives has begun to lean more toward the
street-rod class of old cars. While we still
get calls to do original restorations, but most of the projects
coming in now involve updating suspension components, engines and
interiors to include disc brakes and modern steering mechanisms, air
conditioning the interiors and building and installing larger modern engines
and drivetrains.
The desire
to drive the antique or classic automobile
under all conditions has led car
owners
to seek better handling and braking. In
the pursuit of those traits '9' Lives offers only the best
state of the art parts for the job. We both build em and drive
em and have been for more than 50 yrs. so our well of expertise is
deep and extensive.

disc brakes, rack and pinion steering along with modern engine and
driveline improvements. |
